The seven men and one woman were tried and convicted in absentia. The convicted Copts are all expatriates residing abroad and are unlikely to travel to Egypt to face the sentence. * +

It must be tough being a muslim. Being linked to a religion that is always engaged in some violent controversy on a daily basis. How can one continue to say one's religion represents peace, when the reality is nothing but war and violence. * +
