and not even sure there is a solution. i read just now in another post that sin is a religious concept so how does one convince another who does not believe? do we convince that sin is so showing there are sinners or do we prove sinners therefore showing sin is? * +

Probably my comment. You believe jesus died for 'our' sins. That list of Thou shalt nots. I live by what i consider decent rules. But they're my rules. Not laid down by god or written in any book. It's about respecting those that respect you * +

One does not need religion to have a moral compass. In fact it may be argued that rthose more inclined to the indoctrination of their particular faith are more likely to commit what maybe considered sinful acts. You only need to look at hte violence perpetrated in the name of religion to get a sense of that. * +
