They got the verses misinterpreted actually, I read about it a few days ago, they focus on the passage Acts 15:20 says, Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. I think this verse talks more about not being allowed to eat/drink blood not blood transfusions or donations, I mean during biblical times there was no such thing as blood transfusion... * +

Also I think there were rituals carried out probably by pagans who drank/ate blood from animals, this is what the bible is probably talking about, not blood transfusion... * +
