I would also like to know when good christian values became about money. Running a society as this Romney fella wants to do is not like running a business. I also like how a good multi millionaire christian like himself thinks it is all right for an aspiring president like himself to pay no taxes by exploiting legal loopholes through his church. Legal? Yes. Ethical? No * +

75 percent is on the high side but what made you come up with that figure? No capital gains tax has virtually priced myself and anyone else around my age out of owning our own house. Average house is now 8-10 times the median wage because those lucky enough to be born a few years earlier snapped up all the cheap houses and sold them for sky high prices. If they arnt charging 50 percent of the median wage a week in rent. How is this good for the economy?

If house prices are artificially high surely that bubble will burst eventually? I've never agreed with capital gains tax, it just erodes value and shifts it into government hands. * +

What do ethics have to do with paying taxes? I do see Obama's side in giving people a hand up. Its not really a hand down, but a hand up. Some people because of their circumstances will always be left behind due to no fault of their own, thats why I do see some merit to socialism. I also see the other side, of how stuff like redistribution of wealth does hurt or discourage economic growth. * +

In my ideal world, I would like people to compete for luxuries, and not necessities. Obviously if there is a case of people abusing the system, then they must be denied even the necessities. But I think its pretty tough trying to escape poverty, pretty much everything you earn only goes to necessities-you have nothing left for improvement to try to climb the ladder. I would like such concerns for necessities largely removed. * +
