Just thought I'd say... Was at a funeral, the Pastor was a nice man, a real person, not a collar nd tie stiff... Any way one of the 2 of things he said made more sense to me than all the topics I have read in here abt it nd more sense than many other Preachers etc have made to me... * +

The Lord gives life, the Lord takes life... he said how he hates it when this is preached at funerals as the Lord doesn't have it in a plan that we die this way or that, that we die at a young age etc.. he stated how ppl are responsible for how they die, or how others die in most cases due to choices made, not due to God's plan. * +

The man is the head of the family, of the home... he said that this does not mean a man gets to say what's what nd how u do this or that... he said how it means that the man must live by example, how he treats others, his wife, children, it isn't abt him being the one who makes the decisions, but how he must live his life that it can be an example to those in his life. * +

i just really liked how he doesn't say 'it was his time' 'the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh' i can't stant those platitudes nd really liked that a Pastor also sees it that way. * +

I think its a mere recognition of God's sovereignty in all that happens. God doesn't literally kill our loved ones. * +
