I think that in this day and age the completely unnecessary and meaningless to many,slaughter of millions of innocent animals is abhorrent and wrong.Think especially in non muslim countries this should be banned * +

Whilst i appreciate it's importance to muslims to many of the rest of us it is a barbaric practice what has no place in our countries.We banned bear baiting,fox hunting etc,this needless massacre should go the same way * +

I'm a little lost confuse

the slaughter of sheep etc goes on daily not just any eid Muslims celebrate, have you gone vegan on us or is there something I'm missing? And why should it be banned in non Muslim countries since they are most likely to be least affected by this whole thing? * +

Normal,everyday slaughter yes of course i'm ok with that but a slaughter just to commemorate an event what supposedly happened thousands of years ago?no thank you * +

Not unnecessarily muslim slaughter animals, they know that Qurbani is compulsory and i am not forgetting what the famous scholar of islam, Imam Abu Hanifah (r.t.a) said, upon every mukeem (domiciled) and who possesses 613.35 grams of silver or its equivalent in money, personal ornaments, stock in trade or any other form of wealth which is surplus to his/her basic needs. Each adult member of a family who possesses that much wealth must perform his/her ownQurbani separately. * +

R u ok with the everyday practice of halal slaughter that goes on in the uk digits ? even after all the yrs spent by animal rights groups makin sure our food is slaughtered in a humane way... * +
