Why doesn't the current Jewish canon include these books written by Jews? Why does the septuagint, the book of scripture used by hellenistic Jews and early Greek speaking christians, contain some deuterocanonicals? Why did the Jewish community of Qumran (dead sea scrolls) use some deuterocanonicals? Who added? Who removed? What do you think? * +

When and by whom was the canon closed? (if a universal one was ever agreed upon). What's the history behind these books? I know the Greek orthodox accepts some deuterocanonicals that even catholics reject, and the ethiopian orthodox has the widest canon of all, in both testaments, and adds books like Enoch, Jubilees and others. What's the history? * +
