it was war, a quite huge civil war that occurred in our country. You see Mr Mujeeb Ur Rehman and his party had already convinced all the bengalis that they wanted a separate nation, they were openly rebelling and the west pakistanis living there in the East had also suffered A lot by the bengalis, many were r*ped. supplying them with food that they were ordered not to take by Mr. Mujeeb's party and anyone taken would be arrested or even executed. It wasn't really a genocide, the Army wasn't sent to kill over there, but to keep control. After all I doubt any Government would want their country being divided. * +
