Certain selected passages are fascinating, except for the sometimes unclear forms of the phrases... Literal? hyperbole? metaphor? Some interesting texts unfortunately fall right in the middle of a poetic-hyperbolic narrative. Taking preceding and succeeding sentences in a literal form often causes clashes, for instance pillars of the heaven, unmoving earth, a sky firm as a bronze mirror et cetera. * +

its amazing what a mind can put together with limited knowledge and observations. Watched a show recently on the prophets of science fiction. * +

''Job 26:7 ''He stretches the north across the empty space and hangs the earth upon nothing'''.....And a few verses later it states the earth sits on its foundations and can never be moved * +

''And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it.'' (The Qur'an, 51:47) expansion of the universe revealed? Some translation issues have been raised criticising the ''expansion'' but I dont know much about the quran.

Had a wee look about that and yes apparently only the english version from the mid 20th century says expanding. So that one is a fizzer too * +
