Subject: Middle Eastern Religions World Dominance

Whichever Word had a technologically advanced people promoting it would, naturally, flourish and spread with more ease than others. Some cultures had no written Word of their own, again such beliefs were easily pushed aside (though they may have been passed down via word of mouth for much longer periods of time than other Words had even existed) * +

Some cultures may worship in a particular building or structure, others might focus more on their stories/connection to the land itself. As european culture spread it took with it its concept that this land was to be tamed/raped, cut up into small portions, mined etc and in effect this meant an erosion of this relationship between land and self for those cultures concerned. * +

(it might be of interest to know that in Australia recently mining magnate David Forest had the first load of mined material blessed by a priest, much of this material was mined from sacred Aboriginal sites, sites containing many pictographs/cave paintings preserving the stories of a culture many tens of thousands of years old. Clearly this is a case of Word dominance over a 'relationship with land' belief structure) * +
