if Jesus wasn't NAILED to the cross how did he acquire the punture wounds in his hands and feet. the bible specifically mentions the wounds in the episode of the appearance of Jesus to doubting Thomas who only comes to believe once he has touched the wounds? * +

@ dgsn. the bible isnt a picture book. i assume the pictures you refer to are the medieval pictures which i agree are technically inaccurate. however they are symbolic of the passion and are intended to inspire awe and devotion, not to be used as a literal instruction bokk in how to execute someone. also it is wrong to say the bible is inaccurate unless you were actually there at the crucifictiion. * +

@ dgsn also regarding the wounds of christ. the jerusalem bible says the wounds were on christs hands not his palms. therefore it could refer to the base of his hands or indeed his wrists. you really should read more and stop looking at pretty pictures! *
