The woman who got caught in the act of commiting adultry they brought her to Christ and reminded Him of the law of moses which said adulterers should be stoned to death to test Christ. Christ replied who ever is free of sin may cast the 1st stone and one by one they left. Christ asked the woman if she has anythng against Him, she replied No. He replied that then he doesnt have anythng against her and her sins r forgiven but DONOT commit it again.

Good point, but they were just using her to trap Jesus in some way. It didn't work because he read their hearts. Under the Law a matter had to be established between two or three witnesses. Since all had left, Jesus did not condemn her,but knew she had commited adultery. * +

Its wrong for the church to attempt to impose its values on society. Jesus cleansed the Jewish temple by force. But did he shut down pagan temples in the area? No. The point is that within its membership the church can impose any values it likes but there's no good in imposing the values on everyone.

And the first Christians didn't impose their values on those outside. Only when apostasy started and meddling in politics came along. Jesus' followers were neutral to political wranglings and didn't hold any political office. * +

So there you go folks. Become a Jehovah's witness and give up on democracy, and never take up any political position at all. But if you become a protestant christian, you can vote and run for office, in the hope of preventing humans from becoming totally depraved for another year at least. *
