The reason churches have baptistries is so ppl wouldn't have 2 travel so far 2 b baptized. * +

Lettie yes and no . If you look at the cave of John the Baptist , then you will see what I mean . People were baptized in the spesial cave. But then it was most probably of the shortage of water. In those days Jerusalem got its water from the Seluach spring , and they were very strict on the usage of the water. Rain water was collected for the bath in the cave. * +
