No,Elijah was taken up to the heavens of the sky and set down elsewhere nolisto and candelee. The letter was later. And if you believe otherwise, then you don't believe Jesus in John 3:13. ''no man''. It includes Enoch, Abraham and Elijah. Purest hit the nail on the head. The use of Abraham in the rich man and lazarus parable is a metaphor. * +

The Matthew 27 account of those 'raised up' isn't a resurrection but of the corpses being thrown up and out of their tombs during the earthquake in verse 51. That's why they were visible to people. That kind of thing happened in Mexico in more modern times. * +

Enoch's life was taken, cut short by God 'transfered so as not to see death'. By this,he wouldn't see or understand he was dying, being possibly in a trance so as not to experience the pangs of death. Again,as the Son of God said, ''no man has ascended to heaven'' - John 3:13. * +

I do beleive in life after death. Death occur when the soul leave the body. The body return to dust until the resurrection time, or the last judgment. The soul continue to exist and enter into another dimension if I can word it this way. Dead people are not asleep. In my understanding we need to be alive to be able to sleep. Dead do not need sleep. These are my beliefs. *
