The Ark was a huge oblong box, not ship or boat shaped. It didn't have a bow,stern or rudder. It was designed to float, not cut through water. Genesis 7: 17:20 shows ''all the tall mountains that were under the whole heavens came to be covered'',so not a sunami. It came to rest on the mountains (plural) of Ar'arat, not likely the uppermost peak but on suitable terrain.This was 5 months after the Deluge began,butthey disembarked 1year,10 days after it began. * +
