And it would only be unequal if the man is refusing to do the verse before it submitting yourselves one to another. In which case then the wife has by scripture the rights to take him before the elders for reproof. Which as I stated the man is to submit himself to everyone. But the wife only to her husband. * +

i don't think you can compare it to submitting an exam. and what you've just described makes it seem unequal for the husband. * +

and who are these elders? who knows what agenda they have, they're just people after all, nothing special. * +

FINALLY SOMEONE IS GETTING IT!!! Or starting to... The verses out of context of the chapter makes it unequal for the man!!! Ephesians 5. Reading the whole chapter and putting it in context shows which definition it would be. * +

Lol because your still thinking submitting is strict obedience your right in questioning the intent of the people when submitting one to another... Quite honestly my most humbling time is when my child asked me a question about my actions that brought me to my knees in repentance, submitting before her words was one of the hardest things I had to ever do...But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. (Ephesians 5:13 KJV) *
