First of all, I'd like to steal a quote from muslims. There is no compulsion in religion. So hopefully no one is compelling you to be a christian. And the christian faith is based on the old testament and new testament, if you cannot accept that, then again, no one is forcing you to remain in the faith, you can try buddhism, or agnosticism, or even scientology. * +

the thing is, if you take a fundamentalist approach, you're bound to find parts 'disturbing' but if you see the jewish civilisation as an inspired vehicle to facilitate the advent of messiah, though fallible and often mistaken, you can overlook such things as human flaw. * +
