He said the finding represented evidence of a vicious cycle and that people of low intelligence gravitate towards socially conservative ideologies,which stress resistance to change and, in turn, prejudice.Why might less intelligent people be drawn to conservative ideologies?? * +

And it took a study to know that bigots are a bit thick and mentally unflexible to changing their views? Could have told em that myself... Heard about this on the radio. Duh, it aint rocket science. Wonder how much this study cost. * +
