Spirits could materialize with human bodies. Jesus was what he was,before coming to earth in the first place. Angels who visited Abraham had put on human form, ate and drank the the things he gave them.- Genesis 18:8. Jesus materialized in a body that looked the same with nail and pierced marks because the disciples needed to grasp fully that he had been resurrected. Many other times he had a different form and that's why they didn't recognise him. *
