I have a hypothetical question. What if you're performing what is, for all intents and purposes, a public service, and a good, reliable one at that, that serves the community around you, but is in the employ/volunteer of what society deems to be, although it's through no fault of their own, given the study of human behaviour, and the social and political sciences, labled and pig-iron holed as 'bad people'? Do the deeds and good intent still count? Chin * +

Best thing I can tell you is to always be aware of why you're doing it. even when you're totally disillusioned and morale's low. the world needs thinkers willing to help others. * +

what do you think about working for an organisation.. say the Salvation Army, but you don't actually support or agree with the way they do things? as in it being a religious based approach? but you're still wanting to help people 'through' that organisation. is that hypocritical?

I'm an athiest, and have worked for the salvation army for a short period. The captain knew my views on religion yet he still employed me. *
