Heaven and the kingdom can only be gained by being born of water and spirit. The water is baptism. It is necessary because Jesus and his apostles said so. The thief dying next to Jesus did not go to heaven. Jesus said Paradise not heaven. Paradise is mainly used for earth. 'with me' isn't always literal or does Jesus split himself into many parts to be with Christians all over the world? The placing of the comma is incorrect when it should be after 'today',not before it. * +

The thief's resurrection will be on earth after it's been cleansed of wickedness. Here is where the physical resurrection takes place.
