do you believe you can do a fast unto the LORD with something other than food or drink? i kinda do but i refer to it as personel sacrifice since its not neccessarily something you can consume or if it is its not considered a basic need to sustain life * +

i think most in here know why. but just i case someone doesnt fasting serves 2 purposes. on the physical it cleanses the body (if your refraining from food) on the spiritual its a way to get closer to GOD and build faith * +

i do personal sacrifice with coffee, sites, chocolate. when i fast its meals either a meal or a day a few days. * +

why we fast? fasting is a way to be closer to God. when God created ''Desire'', it was asked by God, ''Who AM I n who are u?'' the Desire answers- ''u is u n i is i''. then, God throw it into the Hellfire n ask again...''Who AM I n who are u?''. again it answers the same. lastly, God throw it into a well that has no food in it n made it hunger...n God asked again, ''Who AM I n who are u?'' guess what the Desire answers? You are my Lord n i am YOUR humble servant n slave... :D * +
