What's your view on christianity and war. Is it good for christians to take up arms and kill in the name of their countries? * +

In the same line... Are christians allowed to kill their brothers and sisters in the faith in war or does that violate 'thou shalt not kill'. * +

it would depend why i s'pose... but i would never take up arms to fight for my religion. just for my freedom. if there was no other way. * +

I understand fighting back in personal defence @ladibud. How do you feel about joining military service? Would you kill your brethren in the faith from enemy countries? * +

in the name of their countries, yes. There will always be the need to defend ones borders with physical force. To defend their faith ? the pen is mightier than the sword. The bible should provide enough for them to defend their faith * +

Btw if you read up on early christian attitudes to war, you find that they universally abh*red participating in it and rejected conscription, the Roman empire persecuted them for this stance. * +
