To be clear ... Denouncing people as innovators is a convenient way to ignore the full depths of Shariah that has been developed by pious scholars in the specific contexts they found themselves. It is correct, but Salafis denounce all things they don't understand as new things introduced into the religion, rather than those necessary things derived from it. Qutb produced certain tafseer, but those who depend on it are failing in the responsibilities to the people of Egypt. * +

Yet, if there are people whose practice of Islam goes back over a thousand years, and they involved in tasawwuf or some form taqleed., they are called blind innovators. Tragic convoluted logic. * +
