fate and destiny i feel both can be the consequence of our actions. Its just that destiny is a positive convergence of things or a culmination. While fate is its negative counterpart, the thing we've led ourselves to thats an undesired misfortune. ones an achievement the other a failing. * +

Fate/destiny do not exist aside from the figurative definition, in real life? Nope. We control our own fate/destiny. Same goes for luck, they are words to describe fortune/misfortune *
