secularism is probably the only solution that has even a chance of working there but would both sides agree to it........ but lets say they do and a secular government is installed tomorrow no one alive today will be able to judge if its worked as it will be hundreds of yrs before anyone could make that judgement but in the mean time it only takes one nut to ruin the whole process and that region is rife with nut jobs so I'm sure one would pop up in that few hundreds yrs. * +

very true. and i agree we probably wont see it in our life time. but, i hold one hope. if they were to both agree to secularism i hope the religious version of the race issue will be settled quickly. USA is a example of how ideas behind race can change from one generation to the other. civil rights movement til now. that was a short span and a fast shift in ideologies. * +
