Leviticus is in the OT. The Jews were a backward people, even sacrificing children to demonic beings. No wonder they were banned from any spiritual practices. Like attracts like. Mosaic laws were abrogated by Christ btw, all 700 of them. He only left 2, love God and your neighbour and the other laws rest on them, for whoever is justified by the laws, christ is useless to you.
