According to some current olamas of sunni like mohamed abduh,rashid ridha ban to polygami,even further polygami is haram if done it by men as having fun,except only can do under war circ*mstance.surah an-nisa as reason to polygamy by some view of olamas is not context to sugest and appreciate to polygamy. * +

In social context rasool was living in monogami time periode for 23 years is longer than polygami time period for not more 10 years.polygami who did rasool because there was no solid institution social to protect women n children yet.even rasool ever was angry at sayidina ali to polygamy siti fathimah.he ever said whoever someone hurt fathimah is hurt me too.n siti fathimah was lived in monogami till she passed away. *
