When one rejects apostasy, one already loses faith in one's religion. What aqidah is there then to defend? A religion confident of its own doctrine will allow freedom of belief without coercion. Only with complete freedom of religion could you give the sole responsibility of one's after-life upon the individual. Nobody should bear that responsibility but the individual. * +

the above was posted in response to - Barely 4,000 people have filled the 100,000-capacity stadium to mark the start of the assembly of a million believers. * +

No religion has a leg to stand on if it supports apostacy. It's my personal opinion that the very idea damages religion. Heard horror stories here of families disowning family members who change the manner they CHOOSE to worship. It's sickening. * +

my thoughts too maxum, surely if a person is 'contained' within a religion, they do so unwillingly and in the long term, that has to be bad for the religion. Isn't it better to let them go and only have those that wish to be there remain ? unless of course numbers matter * +
