I dropped in n thought to share a few points about Nimrod. He's not a celebrity with chapters devoted to him. Matter of factly Nimrod's mention only covers 3 verses in the entire Bible. But with facts from secular history Nimrod is a giant figure whose exploits have repurcurssions even today. His exploits are thus writen: * +

Nimrod is the first material being called an 'elohim' or powerful one 'a god' in the bible. This is important as we see the origins of idolatry and deification of creatures that would resound in literally every civilisation to exist later. Nimrod began to be an elohim, a god in the earth. The reason for his gradual deification in that ancient age are provided in the next verse. * +

nimrod was a great hunter before Yahweh. According to reliable authorities the Hebrew rendered 'before' does not actually mean Nimrod's hunting was for Yahweh or pleasing to Yahweh but literally 'against the face of Yahweh'.
