Always advised. But how practical? For a very very big hurt would you really forget? And forgive? What of the sense justice we're wired with? How do you avoid carrying a baggage of hurts and just forget if the hurt in question leaves marks to which you wake up everyday and remember the offence done... For the rest of your life. How easy and how do we do it. Share views please. * +

u don't forget forget it, it just means puttin it behind u nd not bringin it up again, u will always remember. I forgive easily coz it makes me happier.... Doesn't mean that i welcome them back in my life again tho..... * +

Forgiveness in and of itself is noble. The problem is that people politicise and internalise their anger. It morphs into something greater than the personal. It becomes the excuse for greater sin. The opportunity to forgive can be manipulated into an opportunity to lay claim. Its offered in exchange for something else. * +

Yes the urge to get justice can be strong at times. Forgiveness is good but doesn't it compromise justice? If you're of faith maybe forgiveness might be easier because you believe the offender will be given justice in some future judgement day of some sort. But if you believe this life is all there is, if you let him or her go scot-free that's the end, forgiving is a bit tougher. * +
