why is it that so called god spoke to people of ancient times, and why doesn't he show himself/herself (im not sexist) in this day and age? and i dont want to hear about nutcases who say god has spoken to them! why hasnt god made it clear to us that hes supposedly there? whats wrong with us then are we not good enough? * +

you could fill several books trying to give a decent real world answer to this question. but a short answer would be you dont know whether he/she does or doesn't. the word god conjures up images of a personified being making choices and decisions because of the way the books of the bible go about expressing things, can anyone says they know this image is true ? * +

Unless you believe the world was created out of nothing means nothing and is endlessly rushing nowhere then there will be God of your own understanding however you choose that to be and call it.
