No, there is no islamic state because non-Muslims won't give up their freedom. Why should a non-muslim be subjected to islamic rule when they aren't muslim? See, a muslim makes the choice to eat pork or drink alcohol or go into a strip bar. You aren't forced to do those things. I shouldn't be forced to live under islamic law either. If I want to live under islamic law I would go to Saudi Arabia. * +

Like-wise @witch, i shouldnt be forced to live under secular laws based on western greek-roman traditions. The quran cites this; ''the is no force in religion''.. But you where wrong about Saudi Arabia, their view of islam is that of culture and tradition, so this state is more inline with arab nationalism than islam.. Like i said, there is no state in the world today where one can practice Islam in its entirety. * +

Thankfully it will never happen. And I mean no disrespect or offense with that. A religion based government is only completely fair to those following that religion. Everyone else is SOL. A secular, democratic government is the only one that's completely fair. *
