What are your thoughts on this? What verses in the bible caused this mass hanging and burning inquisition? Joan of Arc was later sainted after being burned under the witchcraft law. The last person hung for it was another woman I think, after world war II? * +

I read a site sometime ago, about a 'witch gene', giving certain people psychic and healing faculties. The site stated that due to the witch inquisition, the world wars and modern civilisation, the gene has almost disappeared. This is where we get 7th son of a 7th son type sayings, and psychics tend to have it in their family, if Im not incorrect? * +

Well my great grandmother was a known which but i dont think its the genes, personally. I mean wicca is spiritual like any other religion, not physical. * +

Yeah, the witch trials was about killing the people with the witch gene. I'm not saying that you have to have this gene to be a witch or Wiccan or anything. But certain people do have this gene which indicates an Elvish bloodline. And it was the people with the blood of elves that the church was trying to annihilate. * +
