But i want to ask parents.. If u child, the one u brought up, loved, cared for, was found to not be urs, due to a swap at birth, would it change how u felt abt them? And would u want to find n kno ur 'real' child? Would u love them? If that's even possible to answer. * +

I asked my mum this one day when i was a teenager, nd was surprised by her reply. Was curious to kno how others felt. * +

thats a hard one, cause u wouldnt really knw till u were in that situation, wldnt change my love, but i would want to see my real child, and wld have to sit with both kids and parents to resolve it,....that would of course be after iv thrown a wobbler, cried my heart out and sued the as* of the hospital lol * +

I don't think i would be unduly worried. my daughter's my daughter. tho i may wonder if my real one would be less trouble. lol * +

what was her reply if i may ask?....i would be upset but dont see why anyone should stop loving the kid. its like adoption, not your biological child, but he/she is still your responsibility and still the one u raised * +

There's a lot of imprinting involved, I'd say. The child has grown up having you as his or her influence, and you've imparted your own traits and knowledge on to them. It'd only be tragic if the child had a bad childhood. * +
