There are 'Avian Flu Exclusion Zones' all over the place up here in Yorkshire, I drive past the signs they put out on the roads all the time, there's one about 4-5 miles up the road from here at the moment and there was another one not too far away just before xmas. If an outbreak is detected on a poultry farm then a 3-10 square km exclusion zone is placed around the farm, meaning all poultry in the area must be kept indoors to prevent contact with wild birds and that all transportation of poultry into or out of the area is not allowed. * +

There have been cases all over the UK, not just here in Yorkshire but up in Scotland, down in Devon, Wales, Merseyside, Norfolk and various other places as well.
