the idea of a pump and dump is minting a coin you know will be worthless and promoting it with your fanbase. you tell how amazing it's gonna be but they've got to hold their nerve and not sell while the price fluctuates. then after fans buying the coin has raised it's price up enough you sell off your stake in it and never look back.

I feel like at the very least decades ago this would've cost someone every fan they ever had, but the world now is a much more stupid place. * +
