Kicks off on Saturday with the EFL and Community Shield. What are your hopes/expectations? The FA Cup win and Kobbie gave me a boost but the closer we get to the kickoff they're getting less and less. Had a ST at United for 30 years but I let it slide after covid. There was always spares knocking about so it didn't really make a difference but from next season United have locked tickets to the purchasers phone so not sure if I'll be at Old Trafford at all next season. Anyway I think very 4th is the best I can hope for * +

Still got my Everton ST. We're playing a brand of football that died 30 years ago. Seemed to have done some decent business over the summer. Hopes would be for the dinosaur manager to get us to mid table, a takeover with some decent owners that know what theyre doing happens and the manager and DoF are let go at the end of their contracts and we move to the new stadium with a modern thinking management * +

What's your thoughts on the new stadium? I love Goodison Park. I loved it even more when they had the away end behind the goal. Salford left The Willows 13 years ago and I still haven't taken to the new place. Dreading the thought of United leaving Old Trafford even if they build right next door. Anyway Everton's new ground has bolloxed two football trivia questions I had. Closest ground to River Mersey (Edgeley Park) and only league ground which can be seen from the beach (Anfield) * +

I'm with you. Don't want to move and love GP but I understand it to an extent. The architect said he's push the boundaries to keep the stands as close to the pitch just like GP but it won't be the same. Preferred Highbury to the Emirates, WHL to the Tottenham Stadium etc. can you not see Goodison from New Brighton beech? Nothing to back this up but I thought you could see both from there * +

Maybe you could. I couldn't see Anfield until they built the new stand * +

Nah your prob right it was just an assumption by me. What do you think about Branthwaite? I was surprised you went and paid that much for an inexperienced French lad rather than cough up for him. Based on your league placing last season I think JB would of been a coup for United. * +

One club taking the piss with FFP means the other 19 are sh*t scared to spend money. I've not seen the French lad play but I'm guessing he's in the same exciting young prospect who could go on to be world class but equally hit a brick wall in his early 20s bracket as Branthwaite. He's on lower wages than what we offered JB as well so I can understand why we went for the cheaper option. On that subject how come we agreed a deal with him or his agent before we even spoke to Everton? They used to call it tapping up. I'm sure its always gone on usually in the background but its now public and accepted. You have to watch him next season knowing his heads been turned. * +

I'm not convinced his head has been turned tbh. I'm sure he would of left but I don't think he's unhappy here either. If he carries on with his progression there will be top teams after him next season. Real have been linked with him but I'm guessing their budget has gone on Mbappe this summer. Can see City coming in for him as well. They need to get rid of that FFP cr*p it's just a blatant attempt to prevent another City with the Sky 6 acting like a cartel. I've said it for years and the * +
