In Turkey and Greece, they use dried mint in the mint yoghurt(and the Tzatziki), it's not as over powering as fresh mint. * +

Is that still a Tzatziki though, or does that turn it into something else? I do like dill though and it does go well with cucumber, so I just might try that one. * +

I use it a dipping sauce mainly for spring rolls, and for some of our local delicacies. Can be used for some salads, too, if you want that extra spice. * +

Apparently according to the recipe I followed that is the 'authentic' way with dill. I'm guessing any changes in recipe will be regional so depends who you ask * +
