Plenty of empty homes. 37,000 in Scotland alone last time i read.
If i recall correctly the figure for England was 190,000..again that was the last time i read.

Just because a house is empty, it doesn't mean it's livable and it is probably owned by somebody else. * +

Right wingers go on and moan about immigrants getting houses..if we haven't got the houses then how are we housing them? (some in hotels i know).

Many are in hotels, some get bumped straight to the top of the list for social housing (which is the one that causes most friction) but from my own experience alot of working Eastern Europeans are living in HMO's and house shares. * +

Agreed but many homes unfit for humans are currently occupied ..and the Tories voted for them to be totally legal to rent out.
Also living in an imperfect home is better than being on the streets.
Lets collect all the billions of pounds that goes avoided in tax every year (an estimated low of 30 billion) and uae it for rebuilding and building anew.
Oh and Brexit voting morons have cost the country 2 billion a week.
Did you vote leave Dan? * +

Over 200,000 private homes was built in the UK alone from April 22 to March 23. I doubt labour and materials would be an issue to replace the social homes sold in over a 40 years

Births per year is 600,000, we're not even keeping up with that. * +

Brexit isn't costing 2 billion a week lol.gif you need to read up on where that group arrived at that number, it's not based on any facts.
I agree on collecting avoided tax.
If you rent out a home that's not fit for humans, if anything happens then it's only going to end up in legal action. * +
