I've never seen a seatbelt on a city bus.
Why aren't busses forced to have seatbelts?
You would think school busses at least should have them.
Is there any valid reason for city busses not to have seatbelts? * +

I reckon if the driver of the bus is good at controlling his or her acceleration and braking it's not too necessary to have seat belts.

most vehicles would lose in a collision with a bus. when we had swimming lessons in school a car hit our old fleet double decker broadside on, right in the middle. the bus barely wobbled while the car was shorter than when it started it's journey. * +

Something about not being able to go very fast in metro areas so needing them less. I don't agree, but I think that's why. * +

Makes sense Birdy. Still,I think busses should have seatbelts. No harm in being cautious. * +
