Yip, in the Hereafter, there are two possible final destinations
(1) A sever punishment (Hell)
(2) Forgiveness from Allah and approval (i.e. leading to Paradise) * +

I understand that some people need to be told this to help them behave, but most people don't need this threat from 2000 year old books to be decent humans
