I've found out today that a co worker who was showing no symptoms , tested positive on Friday .... I thought that my employer would have shown concern and made sure that all staff who may have been in reasonably close proximity to this person would be tested for covid 19 ... But the head of HR doesn't seem concerned and thinks we should all carry on as normal without the need for testing ...your thoughts please * +

If you've been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for covid-19, you must isolate for 7 days...

That said, my colleagues didn't. They had a clean-up but as I'd not yet shown signs of fever, and was fine the day before, it was assumed I wasn't yet contagious (and it later transpired that nobody caught it).

Your employer is in a difficult situation, but they should at least jump in and immediately sanitise the whole joint, like mine did.

We all have testing available, as long as we have a car in our household. * +

I kept the 2 metre distancing with this person , but things like vehicle keys , door handles , sink taps he may have touched , I may have contacted .... Although having said that I've been washing my hands regularly ... * +
