there are somethings i actually like about the way things are now, i wouldn't mind those things staying as is.

I think they may try to open up international borders here but keep us all in lockdown.. Js, that concept makes no sense. Our borders need to remain shut to the outside world for the duration and be ready to be shut again later at a moments notice.

If you have seen border force, well... They seem incredibly concerned about some Asian guy bringing in two extra packets of cigarettes he shouldn't have stashed in his bag. But when all these potentially infected people came here they let them all waltz right in with little more than a short questionnaire. Seems ridiculous. * +

They have to, people are smoking grass and drinking concoctions cut with turpentine. They also need the tax money.

The problem is they've backed themselves into a corner with the original ban. Whenever they allow it again the natural question is going to be why? What's changed now?

The entire ban on alcohol and cigarettes has been an exercise in puritanism and is now evolving into one of face saving.
