In classing all its BAME staff as vulnerable and saying that they will be prioritised in receiving ppe equipment. There does seem to be more BAME medics dying from the virus but then what about the non BAME staff? Am uncomfortable about it * +

Apparently 72 percent of all health and social care staff who have died with Covid were Black,Asian or Minority Ethnic despite making up only 44 percent of NHS medical staff. * +

There's been more BAME dying of it in the general population as well.
I thought it was illegal to discriminate based on race though? * +

@Dan, apparently that changed under New Labour when it was for 'positive discrimination'. * +

There has been more deaths amongst those ppl because the vast majority of them refuse to socially distance or stay in. Iv heard the phrase cha no white man is telling me to stay in. That many times its unreal. Africans especially believe that non of this applies to them. * +

You can't blame people's behaviour or lifestyle. It has to be 'structural racism.' * +

If it turns out that they are indeed especially vulnerable to it,we will all agree that it was the right thing to do,wont we.it doesnt feel entirely right yet because we just dont know enough about it.i think it's a disgrace that we are even having to decide who gets what * +
