I remember here in the beginning there was talk of it being a white / affluent person disease and that black people were immune / less susceptible.

If the same nonsense was believed there then that might be a contributing factor. * +

Ah, good old apartheid.

When i was a kid, i aked my dad what was going on with Nelson Mandella. In the resulting convo he told me how white people walk on the pavement, but blacks have to step off onto the road to pass. Genuine white privilege.

Now here in Britain we have whites having to give their respiratory masks to blacks. The whites can just die.

I'm so proud how we turned it around in our generation, i feel part of it. * +
