I ducked into Waitrose for a snack after work. It's not a regular choice but i was off to a friend's gaf. Not much better there, really. The tinned/pasta aisles had been hit hard. I didn't look at the bog roll aisle, i suspect it was empty.

Soft drinks had been hit hard. Beer was well stocked though. Seems it's still only the women doing the shopping in the posh fraternity. * +

Ive been working in a supermarket as a shift leader for the last 5 months, its absolutely crazy at the moment. Weve got tonnes and tonnes of stock and there isnt any kind of a shortage at all. The only issue is getting that stock available on shelves for customers fast enough. We took more last week than in our best week (just before Christmas) last year, so weve opened a new distribution centre and doubled many deliveries. Hopefully well be on top of it in no time, until then its just chaos lol. * +
