My last blood test came back borderline diabetic.ive not spoken to my doctor about it yet,im waiting for my other blood tests to come back before i go in to see them.but im trying to clean up my act before it develops into diabetes.i am supposed to have it checked again in a year.so should i be panicking? What can i get away with and am i allowed cheat days? * +

Are you overweight? Smoke? That's the first two things they'll say to do something about. Try to eat fresh unrefined food,less carbs the better that's if its t2, t1 is a different ball game altogether * +

There is a diet for that. Cant remember. I had a doctor lie to me about being prediabetic once, and that was before losing a lot of my pancreas. * +

Im not particularly overweight,maybe slightly.and yeah,the smoking has to go next.ive massively cut down my drinking already,i assumed that was what caused it because i was on a bit of a bender for two or three years back there after being near enough teetotal for years on end.please tell me i can still have my daily baked spud lol * +

Im thinking about rechecking it every now and again independently.you can do that in some chemists,cant you? I had the blood tests done because i have had pins n needles for well over a month n i wanted to know why.im waiting on a vitamin d result from the 10 blood tests i had * +

They also sent me to a physio and he said there was nothing very wrong that he could see.it's driving me a bit mad though * +
