Why would a bank help you out with a measly 60 quid,
When they can get you up to your neck in debt for the next couple of years ? * +

the charges on an overdraft make banks a good return on investment, maybe they have their loans underwritten with Lloyd's though !? * +

I recently asked my lot of ogres to increase my overdraft by 25, i too was refused, i very promptly told them to shove it straight up their po*p chute. * +

Not sure if its the same as here but for anything up to 10,000 they reccommend a credit card..from a lender's perspective why cover a draft for a few dollars when they can ding you 19 to 22 per cent on thousands * +

I have an overdraft, set at a grand i think, but i never use it. I figure having one and not using it is better than not having one. The trick is to get one when you don't need it. Start at like 300 quid, and they automatically up it every couple of years. Even if you don't use it. * +
