Langoustines are somewhere between a large shrimp/prawn and a small lobster. Not unlike a crawfish/crayfish. When british people refer to 'Scampi', we're usually talking about the popular dish served in chipshops and pubs across the country. Deep fried scampi, coated in breadcrumbs or a crispy batter, usually served with chips, tartare sauce and a wedge of lemon.
If you get it in a pub it usually comes served in basket. * +
